First, begin by gathering your ingredients.
• 2 packages of Crescent Dinner Rolls
• 1 package of Cream Cheese (8 oz)
• 1 Can of Mushrooms (4 oz) drained and chopped
• 2 Green Onions chopped
• 1 Teaspoon of Seasoned Salt
• 1 Large Egg Beaten
• 2 Tablespoons of Poppy Seeds
Next, preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Lay out your crescent rolls, and press the perforations together with your fingers to form a tight seal.
After creating a large rectangular flat surface with your crescent rolls, begin to mix together the softened cream cheese, chopped green onions, mushrooms pieces, and seasoned salt in a bowl. Once the ingredients are mixed together, evenly spread the paste-like mixture over the flattened crescent rolls.
Continue by spreading the mixture on the large rectangle, roll up the large rectangle "jelly roll style" into a log-like form. After creating your "mushroom log," cut the log into slices about one inch thick.
Once you have cut your slices, place them on a buttered pan about two inches apart. Then, wash the slices with a beaten egg.
Generously sprinkle poppy seeds over the slices.
After dusting the slices with poppy seeds, place your beautiful pan of puffs into the oven, and bake them on 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
Then, you will have the perfect appetizer! Serve them warm on a cute platter, and your guests will be impressed with your great taste and baking skills!
Don't forget to start your next holiday gathering, dinner party, or special occasion with a culinary hit by baking mushroom puffs. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
Stay sweet and stylish!
